Interserve wins £ 108 million extension

UK support services group Interserve has been awarded a £ 108 million (€ 124 million) extension to its estate management and construction services contract with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).

The DIO, which manages the UK's military estates on behalf of the Ministry Of Defence, has added an extra two years to Interserve's contract for London and the South East. The company will now maintain more than 7000 buildings and facilities at over 100 locations, including Buckingham Palace and Chelsea Barracks, until the end of March, 2014.

Interserve was awarded the original £ 380 million (€ 353 million) DIO South East regional prime contract In March 2005.
