The Italian association of safety professionals (AIAS) is to promote the use of powered access in Italy through an agreement with IPAF (The International Powered Access Federation).

Under the agreement, AIAS - which has 6000 members in Italy - will promote IPAF’s operator training scheme and adapt its own training and certification requirements to harmonise with the IPAF scheme. The agreement will also mean that AIAS health and safety seminars become officially accredited for IPAF instructors in Italy. For more IPAF news see its four-page Autumn newsletter in this issue.
