Michael Kneeland, newly-promoted chief operating officer of United Rentals Inc, told IRN the rental industry needed to promote itself better to attract highly-qualified employees; “Clearly it is easy for large rental companies to buy real estate and equipment, but between that and the customer are people who make the business happen. We are an attractive industry, a viable industry for someone with talent and ambition.
