Christina Lanham is new managing director of ITI UK

US-based Industrial Training International (ITI) is to open a new division in the United Kingdom with operational headquarters in Birmingham.

The company’s decision to incorporate in the UK was driven by the large percentage of skilled labour leaving the industry workforce upon reaching retirement age. ITI said that it was essential for the younger generations replacing their older counterparts to get proper training and opportunities, to ensure there is no drop in skill level.

ITI’s former director of operations, Christina Lanham, has been appointed as managing director of the UK subsidiary. The Birmingham office will manage sales and services for its UK customers, with training options ranging from instructor-led to virtual reality simulations.

Zack Parnell, ITI CEO, said, “We are thrilled to be bringing our training solutions to the UK in our pursuit to help employers eliminate the industrial skilled labour gap.”

ITI added that the new UK office will seek to employ office and sales staff as well as trainers.
