Japanese rental delegation make European visit

A delegation of 12 senior rental and equipment managers from Japan, led by Tokyo-based Diamond Construction Equipment Corp, visited Bauma and the KHL stand as part of a European trip in October.

The group travelled to several rental depots in Munich – including Zeppelin Rental and Boels Rental locations – and saw numerous equipment OEMs at the exhibition.

The CEO of Diamond Construction Equipment, Tatsuo Miyazawa, told International Rental News (IRN) that the group were interested to learn from rental companies in Europe and also to understand trends in the development of electric and other low or zero emission power technology.

Diamond Construction Equipment Corp is owned by AKTIO Corp, Kanamoto, Nishio Rent All, Nikken Corp and Mitsubishi Corp.

It specialises in the wholesale rental of construction equipment as well as providing various digital technologies - including the SmartEquip solution - to contribute to common challenges facing the rental and construction industry.
