Joint transport job

Bulgarian oversized transport specialist Holleman Bulgaria and German heavy cargo specialist LS International Cargo joined forces to transport oversized tanks in Bulgaria.

Five tanks, the largest measuring 5.15 metres wide and 5.2 m high, were moved from Plovdiv to the Port of Burgas. To transport the tanks two of Holleman’s 27 cm low-beds were used.

The companies say the job required a lot of planning. Electricity had to be turned off while cables were lifted, and the route crossed railroads. The transportation was also accompanied by a police escort. A new route also had to be quickly established because a bridge that the route travelled over had not been finished in time. However, despite these challenges, the companies report they finished the job safely and quickly.
