German recycling specialist D+H Verwertung GmbH, based in Kamp-Lintfot, Germany, has been carrying out operations since 1996, with a special focus on C&D recycling.

In order to increase its recycling capacity by 2,000 tonnes per day and gain the advantages offered by a compact unit, the company opted for a mobile solution from Powercrusher in the shape of one of the latter's PC 1380 J jaw crusher, whose 'Quattro' crusher action minimises the production of flaky products.

Because of the requirements of the application, the crusher was supplied with a screener and return conveyor.

However, the location of D+H's facility, close to three busy main roads, means that the company has to take care that its emissions, including dust, are kept to a minimum. As a result,

Hartl offered a solution that provides minimum dust emission during crushing operations.

This was achieved through the use of a newly designed weather resistant protection system that covers the complete crusher outlet area as well as the entire screen and return conveyor.
