Kennards hands over A$3 million bonus to staff

14 November 2011

Australian family-owned rental company Kennards Hire has presented its 850 employees with a A$3 million (€2.25 million) annual bonus, averaging at A$4600 (€3440) per worker.

Kennards Hire director, Angus Kennard, said the company had performed better than expected over the past twelve months and that the gift was a way of thanking staff.

"Kennards Hire is lucky enough to have passionate employees who are willing to go the extra mile to satisfy our customers. They are the reason for our success," he said.

It is the third time that the Kennard family has given company employees a significant bonus during the past decade. All staff will receive the same payment, regardless of seniority or period of employment.

"We are proud to continue our tradition of celebrating the success of the company and sharing the profits with the people who helped us achieve outstanding results in many areas during the past year," said Mr Kennard.

Kennards Hire is now in its third generation of family ownership and has been operating since 1948. It is the country's largest privately-owned rental company, operating from more than 120 general and specialist depots nationally.
