French rental company Kiloutou has broadened its product range with deal to buy Compagnie Atlantique de Location (CAL), located in southwest France.

CAL provides temporary power and pump rental and boasts a network of five branches and a workforce of over 40 people. It has a fleet of almost 800 machines and accessories, including generators up to 1000KVA generators and pumps up to 1200m3/h.

Kiloutou said the acquisition would be integrated into its specialty division. It said the CAL team would retain broad autonomy, and it aimed to expand the division in future through organic growth, opening new branches and acquisitions.

Kiloutou CEO Xavier du Boÿs said the company was pursuing the development of its specialties portfolio in France, adding to the progress it had already made in the event and modular construction sectors.

“We are happy to expand in the energy and pump markets, and are grateful to acquire a high quality business,” he added. “The strategy of growing Kiloutou into a multi-specialist company enriches our general rental offering with new expertise, and allows us to diversify our customer base beyond the construction market.”
