Kinshofer acquires Finnish Aponox

Germany-based Kinshofer has further added to its attachment range through the acquisition of Aponox Oy, who produces a range of titlrotators, rotary actuators and quick couplers. A new company, Kinshofer Aponox Oy, has been established that will operate from the Aponox facility in Hemeenlinna in Finland. The acquisition follows Kinshofer's previous acquisitions of Demarec and HKS.

According to Kinshofer managing director Thomas Friedrich: "Kinshofer continues its strategy to provide the industry with a one-stop-shop solution of outstandingly engineered products to increase efficiency and, more importantly, profitability."

Yrjo Raunisto, who will stay with the new company and, according to Kinshofer, will play a major role in the organisation, founded Aponox in 2006. He said of the deal: "The concentration of knowledge and competence will form a powerful centre for future developments customers can benefit from. In particular, the expansion of the range of the NOx-based products will create more groundbreaking innovations for the industry. I am very excited to be part of this future."
