Komatek 2013 opens

The 13^th biannual Komatek construction equipment trade fair in Ankara, Turkey has officially opened. Taking place from 29 May to 2 June at Atatürk culture centre, the event is expected to attract around 35,000 visitors.

With 418 exhibitors registered, there is plenty to see at the event, which covers 73,300 m² of exhibition space, of which around 48,650 m² is outdoors and 4,650 m² indoors. And there are plenty of big international manufacturers present, including Atlas Copco, Bell, Borusan (Caterpillar’s local dealer), Case, Terex and Zoomlion, to name just a few.

Turkish manufacturers are also present en mass, including Hidromek, Çesan and İnan Makina – names that are growing increasingly well-established on the international market.

Turkey represents an important market for the international construction equipment industry due in part to its location as a gateway to the mature market of Europe, as well as emerging markets in Africa and Asia.
