Komatsu has introduced the new Stage IIIA HM250-2 articulated dump truck (ADT) to the European market.

The new 25 ton (24 tonne) HM250-2 completes the company's latest generation of ADTs.

Based on the HM300-2, the HM250-2 features a top travel speed of 57 km/h while manoeuvrability is improved by a shorter front clearance. The forced oil cooled multiple-disc brake system - a Komatsu exclusive on ADTs in this range - provides excellent braking power and component durability.

Optimised combustion timing and ignition - and a specially designed combustion chamber - reduce fuel consumption, oxides of nitrogen/hydrocarbon (NOx) and particulates emissions, as well as noise levels.

An air suspension seat, the hydro-pneumatic suspension and viscous cab mounts help maintain a comfortable, quiet and low-vibration working environment at all times, according to the company.
