UK Kubota dealer Major Owen has reported an increase in demand for Kubota excavators from existing and new customers.

It said one of the new customers, rental company Thorncliffe Building Supplies, placed an order for 12 new Kubota mini excavators, including models from the KX range as well as the U27-4 zero tail-swing model.

Thorncliffe plant hire manager Lee Healy said, “Thorncliffe services the local building trade from its two depots in North Wales, and is known for providing a competitive, friendly and reliable service.

“Therefore, when a number of our customers starting requesting Kubota machinery we thought it would be a good time to review our plant hire fleet as we are always keen to meet our customer requests.

"After reviewing the different brands available to us, and following discussions with Major Owen, we decided to make the move to Kubota and invest in 12 new machines.

“Since we received the Kubota’s they’ve been pretty much fully booked with repeat bookings from satisfied customers. Feedback has been very positive with the majority of users commenting on the ease of use the Kubota machines provide. They have also mentioned how comfortable the cabs are, an important factor when you spend all day operating them.”
