Leica Geosystems has appointed Dr Jürgen Dold as its new president and CEO effective 1 April 2010.

Leica Geosystems has appointed Dr Jürgen Dold as its new president and CEO effective 1 April 2010.

Dr Dold has been with Geosystems since 1995 and currently holds the position of president of its Geospatial Solutions Division, a position since 2008.

Dr Dolds began his career at Leica Geosystems as a product manager and general manager for several business areas of the Metrology and Surveying divisions.

Before joining Leica, Dr Dold acted as an academic council and lecturer at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany.

He holds a Degree in Surveying from the University of Bonn, Germany and received his doctor's degree from the University of Munich, Germany.
