Bronzeshield Lifting in the UK has added a 500 tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 all terrain to its fleet.

It joins 30 other Liebherr mobile and construction cranes in the 60-strong hire fleet. The company has since ordered a 200 tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 all terrain, due for delivery in May. The LTM 1500-8.1 marks the company's increased interest in heavy lift and comes with seven section, 84 m main boom and long fly-jib options.

The latest generation model features a multi-variable boom configuration system with a Y-boom guying system, a 63 m fixed lattice fly-jib mountable at 0° or 20°. There is also a 91 m luffing fly mountable at inclinations of 83°, 75° and 67°. With the 14 m lattice boom extension and maximum fly, the LTM 1500-8.1 can reach 145 m under hook height and a lifting capacity of 3.5 tonnes at 108 m working radius.

Bronzeshield's Bill Frost added, "The 200 tonnes capacity LTM 1200-5.1 we've also just ordered will add considerable muscle to our growing heavy lift fleet and we are confident that this new addition will fulfil all our expectations."
