International crane manufacturer Liebherr-Werk Nenzing chose the first day of Bauma 2016 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Bigge Crane and Rigging. The celebration was held on the Liebherr outdoor stand at the world's largest construction equipment exhibition.

Bigge Crane and Rigging began in 1916 and is the world's largest owner of Liebherr LR 1300 crawler cranes with 51 units in the fleet, the company said. Holger Streitz, spokesperson at Liebherr-Werk Nenzing, said, "We are happy and proud of our close business relationship with Bigge. Their ideas about what they needed from a crawler crane has helped to shape the LR series, in particular the LR 1300, which was launched at Bauma in 2007."

More than 80 Liebherr crawler cranes are now part of the Bigge fleet.
