Multipurpose Sea Cargo Complex Bronka has taken delivery of a Liebherr Maritime Cranes LHM 800 mobile harbour crane in heavy lift configuration.

Port Bronka is on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. The 308 tonne capacity LHM 800 is designed for handling oversized and heavy lift cargo. It has a 64 metre boom, two winches and a four-rope configuration. Total weight is 820 tonnes, which is spread to the ground across four double supporting pads with a total area of more than 100 square metres, the manufacturer said.

The LHM 800 has a 10 m tower extension, which provides an eye level of more than 40 m. Thanks to its 64 m outreach, the LHM 800 can service container vessels as wide as 22 container rows. In driving mode there are 36 axle sets with a total of 144 wheels to maximise mobility for a crane of this size.

The LHM 800 is also designed for tandem lifts and is fitted with the Liebherr tandem operation tool Sycratronic. In tandem operation with a second LHM 800, the maximum lifting capacity is 616 tonnes.

The LHM 800 was shipped fully assembled on the open deck vessel MV Papenburg.
