Two new Liebherr STS Cranes working at the JSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok

Liebherr Container Cranes is completing orders for three Russian ports as its ship to shore (STS) machines grow in popularity in the country. The manufacturer has orders from Vladivostok, Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg all in various stages of completion.

The JSC Commercial port of Vladivostok has taken delivery of two Panamax STS cranes. The new 60 tonne twinlift cranes have an outreach of 38 metres, a back reach of 11 m and have a span of 15.3 m. The cranes are already in operation at the port and join a pair of Liebherr RMG cranes in operation since 2011.

JSC Nutep in Novorossiysk ordered a second Post Panamax ship to shore crane. The 50 tonne capacity crane, which is identical to a previous Liebherr STS crane commissioned in 2009, has an outreach of 46 m, a backreach of 15 m and a span of 15.24 m. Liebherr's crane management system, Visuscan, will be localised with a Russian user interface.

In St. Petersburg Liebherr has signed a contract with OJSC Petrolesport to supply three Panamax STS cranes. The 50 tonne cranes will have an outreach of 38.5m, a backreach of 15m and a span of 22.5 m. A single lift telescopic spreader, which has lift height of 28 m over the rail, and can hoist at speeds up to 140 m/min. The new STS cranes will join 10 Liebherr RTGs (model RT 6/5/4/ws) already at the port and five further Liebherr RTGs (model RT 7/5/4/ws) on order.
