Liebherr 542 HC-L luffing jib crane in Darling Harbour in Sydney

Liebherr-Werk Biberach has sent four luffing jib cranes from the HC-L series and a top-slewing crane from the EC-H series to companies in Australia and New Zealand.

Two new 542 HC-L 18/36 Litronic towers and a used 540 HC-L model are on the way to Morrow Equipment, based in Caringbah, New South Wales near Sydney. Morrow Equipment is the main Liebherr distributor in Australia.

The two new 542 HC-L luffing jib cranes have been rented by Morrow to Australian contractor Lend Lease Corporation. The cranes will be used to help build the new Convention Center in Darling Harbour, Sydney.

In addition to these orders, a 420 EC-H 16 Litronic crane is on its way to Christchurch in New Zealand to help with rebuilding and construction work after the city was hit by an earthquake in 2011.The work is part of a project currently being run by the New Zealand government to help rebuild the city. One of the largest projects is the reconstruction of the Justice Precinct in Christchurch.

A recently delivered 357 HC-L luffing jib crane is also at work at a dairy processing plant near Auckland, New Zealand. The 357 HC-L will be used to erect prefabricated concrete components.
