A total of 14 flat top 85 EC-B 5i Liebherr tower cranes were ordered by two Indian companies during the BC India construction equipment exhibition in February 2013 in Mumbai.

The cranes were ordered by representatives from Sai Infraa Equipments and Gopalan Enterprises. Sai Infraa Equipments ordered 12 units and Gopalan Enterprises signed for the remaining two, one of which has a climbing system.

Capacity of the 85 EC-B 5i is 5 tonnes and at the end of the jib it lifts 1.3 tonnes. Maximum radius is 50 metres. The 85 LC tower system with 3.9 m long sections offers a high level of flexibility, the manufacturer said. Hook heights up to 278 m can be achieved using the climbing system.

This crane is manufactured in Pune by Liebherr CMCtec India.
