Four Liebherr LTM 1055-3.2 wheeled mobile telescopic cranes have been delivered to the Armasuisse division of the Swiss Army.

The cranes, which were built at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen in Germany, have been fitted with crates, snow chains and cameras. The 55 tonne capacity LTM 1055-3.2s have been painted white. They will be used to build temporary bridges and have been fitted with consoles that can be used as a support for transporting bridge girders, a company spokesperson added.

A total of ten Liebherr cranes have now been purchased by the Swiss Department for Defence, Civil Protection and Sport, a spokesperson added.
