Liebherr wins order for 130 dozers

Liebherr has won an order for 130 PR 754 Litronic dozers from Türkiye Devlet Su İşleri (DSI) – the Turkish government’s Ministry for Water Resources. The 40 tonne class machines will be delivered throughout the remainder of 2014 and 2015.

DSI is the primary Turkish state agency responsible for the utilisation of the country's water resources. This includes registration and monitoring of all water resources to provide irrigation for agriculture and water supplies for major cities. In addition, DSI is also responsible for building and operating waste water treatment plants and water purification plants as well as flood control.

The Liebherr dozers are expected to be used alongside other earthmoving machines for dam and flood defence construction work, along with general earthmoving work by the Ministry.

The machines feature a hydrostatic drive and Liebherr says they offer good thrust and tear-out performance, while being efficient and simple to control. Power comes from a 250 kW D 946 L A6 six-cylinder diesel engine developed and manufactured Liebherr.
