Liugong targets US

China-based equipment manufacturer Liugong has officially opened a US sales office in Houston, Texas and hopes to appoint 10 North American dealers this year. According to company president, Zeng Guang An, Liugong increased exports by +90% last year to US$ 175 million.

Talking to iC at ConExpo, Mr Zeng also told iC that the market in China continues to increase significantly. "In the first two months of this year the excavator market increased by +70% compared to the first two of last year while the wheeled loader market increased by around +20%", he said. Overall this year, Mr Zeng expects excavator sales to increase by around +30% and wheeled loaders to increase by +10% in China.
