Loxam has acquired six depots from regional French rental company Régis Location. The depots are in Ile de France and Picardy.

Loxam said that Régis had decided to refocus its activities in areas where it is strongest, retaining over 80 branches in western and south eastern France. The depots it is selling to Loxam are located at Colombes (ex Colobat), Mantes-La-Jolie, Gisors, Méru, Beauvais and Clermont.

Over 35 years family-owned Régis has grown its business organically and through acquisitions, including Colobat, Logitra, Axe Equipement, Gap Location, Zanetti and, more recently, Célerier. The company was established by Pierre Régis and is now run by Jérôme and Nicolas Régis.

From March 1, 2011, the six sold depots will join Loxam Rental's network along with the associated Régis Location employees. The acquisition increases Loxam's branch network to 533.

Loxam reported annual revenues of just over €700 million in 2010 and operates in 11 countries.
