Mammoet and Sankyu start J-V in Asia

A joint venture company has been set up in Singapore by Mammoet and Sankyu for heavy equipment operation in the East Asia region.

International heavy lift and transport specialist Mammoet Holding B.V. is headquartered in the Netherlands. Sankyu, Inc. is based in Tokyo, Japan, and is a long-established specialized transport company.

The new 50:50 company, Sankyu Mammoet Pte. Ltd., will specialize in heavy lifting, transport and engineering services and equipment. Target sectors include oil, petrochemical, natural gas and the steel industry.

The joint venture combines the global reach of Mammoet with Sankyu’s specialized knowledge of the East Asia market, Mammoet said.
