Balloo Hire has taken delivery of the first Manitou 200ATJ boom in Northern Ireland.

General hire company Balloo is a longstanding customer of Manitou construction telehandlers and said it was a natural progression to order Manitou access platforms, in the latter part of 2015.

The company has purchased 12 ATJ rough terrain articulated platforms including the 16m working height 160ATJ, 18m 180ATJ and a single unit of the 20m working height 200ATJ.

Balloo Hire has been accredited as an IPAF Rental Plus company and has a training centre dedicated to powered access.

Colin Magee, manager of the powered access division, said, “The early feedback from end users of the Manitou ATJ Access Platforms has been very positive focusing on the drive train for power and performance and the controls for ease of operation.”
