Sauer-Danfoss has appointed Marc Weston as executive vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO).

Weston will work from the Ames, Iowa, USA facililty and is replacing Tim Hanson, who has been serving as interim executive vice president and CMO, and will retire later this year.

Sauer-Danfoss specialises in producing hydraulic, electric and electronic systems and components primarily for mobile equipment.

Previously Weston was vice president, strategic planning with The Timken Company, a manufacturer of power transmission components and specialty steels, headquartered in Canton, Ohio, USA.

"In his new role, Marc will be a member of the Sauer-Danfoss leadership team and will have overall responsibility for the Sauer-Danfoss sales and marketing organization, as well as quality and advanced systems engineering," said Sven Ruder, Sauer-Danfoss president and CEO.
