Germany-based Mateco has been putting its new rough terrain LT 540 KD truck mounted platform to work in rough terrain environments.

The 54 m truck mount, manufactured by Ruthmann, can be used for landscaping, on building sites and for power line maintenance, for example. It has 39 m outreach, all terrain tyres, a maximum load in the basket of up to 600 kg and a movable boom plus jib.

The off road capabilities, including three all-steer axles, mean the company can now work on rough terrain without losing working height and outreach.

“The truck mounted platform completes the all-wheel product programme and has already accomplished various missions, among others, an extensive project for overhead line work,” said a company spokesman.
