UK rental company Mather and Stuart will increase its network of service centres and invest in brand-new equipment, the company has announced.

The company, which was acquired by A-Plant in 2016, will open new locations in London, the East Midlands and the north east of England. Mather and Stuart recently opened new locations in Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow.

Since its acquisition by A-Plant, the company has invested more than £2 million (€2.36 million) in new equipment, doubling its generator fleet to more than 1800.

Paul Dennis, managing director at A-Plant, said, “On top of the network and fleet expansion, we are growing the 24/7 mobile engineering team and the national call centre, plus we are investing in state-of-the-art delivery vehicles to add to the transport fleet.

“What’s more, we are developing a market leading telematics package that will be fitted to the generator fleet, allowing customers to track load levels, fuel status, engine diagnostics and much more, in real-time.”
