McAleese buys IES from Champ

Australia's McAleese Transport has acquired transport logistics provider International Energy Services in a deal with Champ Private Equity for an undisclosed sum.

McAleese Transport offers heavy haulage and over dimensional transport services. The company provides general freight transport, hotshot deliveries, trailer hire, container handling transport, warehousing, distribution and storage throughout Australia.

The company has the largest privately owned fleet of specialized low loaders and trailers for over-dimensional loads.

IES operates three core businesses: Cootes Transport, a fuel transport business; Liquip, a fuel-handling equipment maker, and IES Resources, which offers transport logistics and services to the mining sector.
