McCloskey International has introduced a new high performance mobile impactor in the shape of the 45 tonne I44R that offers users the ability to produce a final product that has been crushed and screened using one machine.

The I44R makes use of the company's 107 mm (43 in) impact crusher in conjunction with a high energy screenbox and a recirculating conveyor system to achieve this. It has a hopper capacity of 7.5 cubic metres (9.8 cbic yards). The screenbox measures 1.5 x 3 m (5 x 10 ft) and has a 10 mm throw pattern and direct hydraulic drive. A heavy duty three-ply chevron pattern belt returns oversize material to the feeder.

In transport configuration the I44R is 15.4 m (50.3 ft) long, 3 m (10.1 ft) wide and 3.4 m (11.2 ft high. Power for the new machine comes from a Cat C9 diesel delivering 261 kW (350 hp).
