Lifterz has expanded its fleet of MEC 6092RT scissor lifts and invested in more Hinowa tracked booms.

Lifterz has one of the largest independently-owned fleets of tracked booms in the UK and has operated a Specialist Products Depot since 2014, providing crawler-mounted booms. It built on this by acquiring Spider Rentals in August.

The latest fleet expansion includes the new 15m Hinowa Lightlift 15.70 and the 17m Hinowa 17.75. They join recent additions including the Hinowa 26.14 Lithium and 20.10 models.

Liam Stericker, Lifterz’ spider division manager, said, “Both our operators and customers really like the Hinowa product because of the ease of use and commonality of controls.”

Lifterz, which has a fleet close to 1000 units, also added another MEC 6092RT high capacity diesel scissor lift, bringing its fleet up to eight units. APS, the exclusive UK distributor for both MEC AWP and Hinowa, supplied all the machines.

The 6092RT uses MEC’s 2.3m wide 92-series chassis. It provides a 20.2m working height and thanks to its twin Ultra Deck extensions, a platform length of 7.5m. Lifterz was the first UK rental company to invest in the MEC 6092RT and has continued to see strong demand for the machine.

Standard features include MEC’s Quad-Trax true 4WD, active oscillating axle for rough terrain and auto-levelling outriggers. With a gross weight of 9,200kg it is easy to transport - two machines fit on a single flatbed trailer.
