Messina losses

01 May 2008

Vinci has pulled out of the Messina Bridge bidding consortium led by Impregilo and it is believed that firms from Japan and Spain have also quit the joint venture. Nonetheless, Impregilo has said that its bid will still be ready on time. The loss of Vinci from the bidding process follows the withdrawal of the Strabag-led joint venture last month. Italian contractor Astaldi heads-up the other remaining bid team.
