Demand for Miller UK’s PowerLatch couplers in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland continues to grow after the company joined forces with dealer McSharry Bros.

McSharry Bros has recently been appointed as the exclusive Kobelco dealer in the region, with Miller’s PowerLatch couplers now being used across a number of high-profile projects.

Kilcolgan-based civil engineering contractor, Ward and Burke, specified the couplers to be fitted to its fleet of Kobelco machines, which includes four SK75SR units, two SK140SRLC machines, six SK260SRLC units, four SK350LC machines and one SK500LC.

Fintan McSharry said: “We are happy, as are our customers, with the Miller couplers. They complement the high quality of the Kobelco machines. We look forward to continuing working with Miller on future projects.”

The coupler, which features the TwinLock system to secure both front and rear pins independent of the hydraulic system, allows buckets and other attachments to be changed quickly and safely.

Manufactured from high tensile steel for increased strength and designed to be fully compliant with global safety standards, it offers reliability and safety on site, while its cast construction makes it up to 20% lighter than comparable products.
