UK-based hydraulic lifting equipment manufacturer Penny Hydraulics and van conversion specialist Bott Ltd has celebrated the opening of an extension to the Van Fleet Conversion and Enhancement Centre in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, UK.

The £1.1 million (US$ 1.6 million) extension will add 13,000 square foot to the facility and create around 20 new jobs in the local community. The extension brings the total investment up to £5 million ($7 million).

The new extension will help Bott continue to provide businesses and tradesmen with tailored van conversions. Kevin Woodward, Bott managing director of the vehicle enhancement division, said, “We have access to a very skilled workforce, with a good work ethic and, in terms of logistics, Ashby is so well connected.”

Penny Hydraulics based in Chesterfield, has been the lifting equipment supplier to Bott for over 20 years. Jessica Penny, Penny Hydraulics general manager of sales said, “We are proud to have an excellent long standing business relationship with Bott, so it was fantastic to collaborate to celebrate the opening of their new facility this week.”

Penny Hydraulics has recently announced a 10 % growth and record sales year with an annual turnover of £6.1 million ($9.3 million).
