Now available from Classic Construction Models, Beaverton, US, is a 1:48 model of the Caterpillar 953C track loader.

Produced with cast and etched brass parts throughout, the model is hand assembled and painted. Licensed by Caterpillar Inc, the original model was checked out by the Caterpillar project engineers responsible for the full-scale version. Working details include individually-linked, free rolling brass tracks and working track tensioners, a detailed operator cab, positionable bucket, vented engine cover and visible engine fan.

The production run is 300 individually numbered and registered units and the model is US$559.95, plus shipping, from Classic Construction Models at www.ccmodels.com
