Nixon Hire orders more than 160 JCB Loadall telescopic handlers

UK rental company Nixon Hire has ordered more than 160 JCB Loadall telescopic handlers in a deal worth almost £9 million (€10.6 million).

Delivery of the new fleet – which ranges from the 4m reach 516-40 Loadall to the 17m reach 540-170 model – will be carried about over the next few weeks, said JCB. The machines have been bought through JCB dealer Scot JCB.

Graham Nixon, managing director, Nixon Hire, said, “Nixon Hire is delighted to further cement its solid partnership with JCB with this large telehandler order.

“We pride ourselves in offering modern, technologically advanced products from market leading brands and JCB certainly meets this criteria. Having worked together successfully for many years, we know it’s a name we can trust to deliver a quality and reliable product to our customers."

Nixon Hire recently confirmed the acquisition of a Nottingham, UK plant, recently owned by Hewden, in a multi-million pound deal.

“Many of the machines as part of this order will stock the recently acquired site in Nottingham,” said Mr Nixon. “This new depot is in a prime location for Nixon Hire and falls in line with our plans for expanding our depot network further south.

“I can confirm that we will offer our customers products from each of our divisions to include plant, accommodation, toilet and welfare facilities.”
