German rental company MVS Zeppelin has appointed Klaus Kögel as its new marketing manager, replacing Jörg Bachmann, who left the company earlier this year.

Mr Kögel, 53, will be responsible for all marketing communications at the company and will report to Peter Schrader, MVS's managing director for marketing and sales.

Before joining MVS, Mr Kögel spent four years at automotive supplier Brose and before that was head of marketing at Webasto AG, another automotive company. He started his marketing career at BMW in Munich where he rose to be head of international exhibitions and fairs.

MVS Zeppelin is the Cat Rental Store business in Germany, owned by Caterpillar's Munich-based dealer Zeppelin. It is part of Zeppelin's rental business unit, which also has rental operations in Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria.
