Nationwide Platforms has been awarded for a fourth time by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its occupational health and safety procedures.

The Gold award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2013 was presented to the UK rental firm in a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on May 15.

Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas.

Nationwide Platforms’ executive director – operations, Peter Douglas, said: “We’re very proud to be honoured with our fourth successive RoSPA Gold Award. Our company is driven by safety from its very core, and as such this award not only recognises our dedication to managing welfare and wellbeing, but also the ongoing and day-to-day work of every single one of our employees.”
