Ray Passeno, currently vice president of Bierlein Companies Inc, has succeeded Drew Lammers as president of the National Demolition Association, following stints on nearly every NDA committee and terms as vice president, secretary and treasurer. Upon his election he said that his intent was to make the newly redesigned Association website into a major global source of demolition information.

He is quoted as saying: "Our website will provide the training and tools necessary for members to run safe and environmentally responsible businesses." He went on: "It will help us communicate to other industries, the government and the public at large that implosions are only a small part of what we do. It will become a major portal for information on the demolition process, its means and methods, practitioners, safety requirements, environmental issues, benefits to society and the engineering acumen it requires. As an industry - through the many services we provide - we're ‘making way' for the progress that accompanies the demolition process."

Other new office bearers elected to the NDA's executive committee are Don Rachel, Rachel Contracting, as vice president; Jeff Kroeker, Kroeker Inc/Demolition & Recycling Contractors, as secretary; and Peter Banks, CEI Boston LLC, as treasurer. Drew Lammers now naturally occupies the position of past president.
