New concept for International Rental Exhibition (IRE) in 2017

10 May 2016

The 4th International Rental Exhibition (IRE) returns to Amsterdam and the RAI exhibition centre in 2017, but with a fresh approach and a new exhibition hall, the recently opened Amtrium.

Being held on 2 to 4 May 2017, IRE will again take place in cooperation with the European Rental Association (ERA), which will hold its convention on the same three days, along with the European Rental Awards. IRE will also co-locate with the well-established APEX aerial platform exhibition.

Holding IRE in the new Amtrium hall – which was opened in mid-2015 - will allow close integration of the exhibition and convention, with ERA using meeting rooms directly adjoining the IRE show floor.

That will mean rapid and easy access to the exhibition stands for ERA delegates, and give exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their products and services to hundreds of key European rental equipment buyers.

IRE is organised by BV Industrial Promotions International (I.P.I.) in association with International Rental News (IRN) magazine.

Michel Petitjean, Secretary General of the ERA, said; “We welcome this new format and new exhibition hall for the IRE show. It will more fully integrate the convention and the exhibition, and make it easier for our members to visit the IRE exhibition stands.

“From the timing standpoint, our annual market reports forecast some growth in the European rental market in 2017. In that context, IRE will provide our members with a key venue to view equipment and talk to suppliers as they plan their fleet investments.”

Tony Kenter, Managing Director of show organiser IPI, added; “The use of the fantastic new Amtrium facility at Amsterdam RAI will provide a major boost for the show – providing exhibitors with a world-class exhibition facility and making it easier for ERA’s members to spend more time on the show floor.

“We are also quite pleased with the initial response of suppliers following the official launch of the show earlier this year. Within just five weeks we have had enquiries representing more than a third of our target exhibition space.”

Visitors to IRE are given free access to the APEX aerial platform exhibition - and vice versa - which drives additional traffic to both shows. In June 2014, when the two events were last held, more than 1100 people attended the IRE show and around 4400 visitors visited APEX.
