Launched in the UK is a new Professional Qualified Persons (PQP) card from the Construction Skills Competency Scheme (CSCS). The card is aimed at non-site professionals, such as consultants and engineers, who have health and safety responsibilities.

The card will identify an individual’s professional institution and will only be issued to professionals who can demonstrate a high level of health and safety knowledge through the achievement of a new Higher Managerial Health and Safety Test. CSCS, CITB-ConstructionSkills and the Construction Industry Council (CIC), in conjunction with professional institutions and consultancies, developed the test.
