New dumpers keep GAP Group on track

01 September 2015

GAP Hire Solutions has added a new product to its extensive range of plant available for hire - the Morooka tracked dumper. The group said this is part of GAP’s continued commitment to making market-leading investment in new equipment year-on-year.

It also further demonstrates GAP’s willingness to invest in larger or more bespoke items of plant to ensure customers have a range of equipment supported by GAP’s nationwide depot network.

Two of the new 3 t dumpers have already made their way to GAP’s Inverness Plant & Tools depot and were recently on display at the nearby Black Isle Show, an event that promotes agricultural interests in the local area. Long-term hire for both machines has already been secured.

“We were always aware of Morooka, which we consider to be the market leader for this product,” said Ken Stewart, head of procurement at GAP.

“The build quality in terms of robustness is ideal as these dumpers often work in remote inhospitable areas where conditions are harsh.

“I entered into commercial negotiations with the Bolton office of Cautrac, which distributes the product throughout the UK. Cautrac was able to deliver quickly to ensure both machines could be showcased at the Black Isle Show.”
