UK crane service provider Bob Francis Crane Hire has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 wheeled mobile telescopic crane. The order was followed closely with the purchase of a Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1.

The five-axle LTM 1200-5.1 has a capacity of 200 tonnes and a maximum lifting capacity of 10.6 tonnes at the 72 m. It has a seven-section, 72 metre long telescopic boom that can be fitted with a 7 m lattice jib and a swing-away jib of up to 36 m. It has 76 tonnes of counterweight and is fitted with the VarioBase system. It allows configuration of a variable outrigger spread to ensure higher lifting capacities and a larger working range.

Mark Francis, Bob Francis Crane Hire managing director, said, “The addition of the LTM 1030 and LTM 1200 units to our existing fleet will offer us the opportunity to provide our customers with the very latest in modern lifting technology and ensures that we remain ahead of our local competitors in every way.

“The 200 tonne capacity of the LTM 1200 and the versatility of that unit mean that we can configure the machine in so many different ways that we can use that unit in a wide variety of applications that suit our customer base in both our immediate locality and throughout the country. The support and communication we have had from Liebherr throughout the build period of the machines and the handover of the equipment has been exceptional and we appreciate good service as it is upon this mantra that we have built our business for many years,” Francis added.

Steve Elliott, Liebherr mobile crane area sales manager, said, “Liebherr is delighted to be working with Bob Francis Crane Hire Ltd and looks forward to developing what it hopes will be a long and productive relationship.”
