South African crane rental company Marlboro Crane Hire has added a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane its fleet.

The six-axle mobile crane has a 78 metre telescopic boom crane and is powered by a single engine. It has a 300 tonne capacity fills the gap in the Marlboro Crane Hire fleet between an LTM 1250-6.1 and an LTM 1400-7.1.

Oliver Dalais, owner of Marlboro Crane Hire, said, “A large radius is often required for hoisting work in this class. The long boom on the LTM 1300-6.2 measuring 78 metres is therefore a real benefit for us since we will no longer have to fit a folding jib or luffing jib for many jobs." In addition the LTM 1300-6.2 delivers outstanding load capacity values. It is the most powerful 300-tonne machine on the mobile crane market.

Marlboro Crane Hire is based in Johannesburg. Liebherr has branches in Cape Town and Durban.
