The UK's National Federation of Demolition Contractors has rolled out a new visual identity across all of its communications material, including its website. Switch Design Consultancy, based in Birmingham, UK, carried out a brand audit of the various identifying devices the Federation used and then produced a consolidated look.

David Clarke, outgoing president of the federation, said in a statement: “Here at the National Federation of Demolition Contractors, we don't demolish, dismantle or recycle anything. But we help our members to do so safely and environmentally by encouraging strict adherence to the very latest guidelines and Codes of Practice and by encouraging the professional training of all demolition personnel.

The continued success of our remit requires us to be clear and authoritative and the solutions delivered by Switch both in terms of our visual identity and the NFDC website have helped our communications enormously.”

It is generally accepted that federation members carry out approaching 90% of all demolition work carried out in the UK.
