Lavendon’s German rental business Gardemann has appointed Dietmar Mueller as its new managing director, effective 2 March.

Mr Mueller replaces Matthew Hickin, who resigned as managing director at the end of last year. Mr Mueller joined Gardemann from Munters, a global supplier of industrial and commercial air treatments solutions.

He joined Munters in 1998 as Managing Director for its German business before carrying out a number of senior roles across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US. Most recently, Mueller was group VP for the Air Treatment Division based in Hamburg.

Lavendon CEO Don Kenny said, “The appointment of Dietmar Mueller demonstrates our commitment to grow and develop our German business. We believe firmly that Gardemann is a strong, capable unit that is well positioned to take advantage of improving market conditions and growth opportunities.

“Dietmar has an excellent track record in delivering business success and I look forward to working with him and the senior management team over the coming months and years to take the business forward.”
