Western Global, a leading provider of portable tanks and dispensers, has formed a new sales division with former US Army technician John Cleary heading up the team.

The new division will focus on the company’s rental and equipment customers. Cleary will oversee the new team, which includes four regional sales managers and a support representative.

Barry Truan, Western Global vice president, Americas, said, “They’re familiar with the day-to-day aspects of the equipment rental business and the needs of the contractors out on the jobsite. John himself has over 20 years of experience in the mobile equipment space — both as a technician and a sales professional — which provides exceptional value to our customers.”

Western Global said the team running the new sales department has extensive knowledge of the rental equipment segment of the market.

John Cleary, Western Global national sales manager, said, “The equipment rental segment is a unique customer base with specific needs and challenges that often differ from our other distribution segments.”

Formerly a business development manager at Wacker Neuson, Cleary served in the US Army as a generator technician prior to his career in manufacturing and sales. A statement from Western Global said he would be responsible for the company’s growth strategy for the rental and equipment division.
