Italy-based Socage will launch a new series of compact articulated tracked platforms at the end of this year.

The first in the SJ series will be the Forste 17SJ, which is now at prototype stage. It will have a working height of 17.2 m, a maximum outreach of 7.8 m and a safe working load of 225 kg, for two operators, plus tools. It will also offer a hydraulic jib. More details about this machine will follow shortly.

The SJ series follows the existing SPJ series, the latest of which is the SPJ315 (pictured), with a maximum working height of 15 m and maximum outreach of 7 m.

The machine is equipped with a standard remote control with a cable for movement and stabilisation; a wireless remote control is available as an option. The standard engine is a 13 hp gasoline Honda, optionally a diesel Lombardini engine can be fitted.

The SPJ315 can also be equipped with extendable tracks and 230 volt electric motor for operation in confined spaces, such as industrial buildings or churches.
