US manufacturer General Equipment has launched a new surface planer designed for high speed and accurate surface preparation.

It said the SP8/GH9HP was well-suited for jobs including milling misaligned sidewalks and joints, removing thermo and cold plastic markings and prepping floors for new coating applications.

Powered by a 9hp (6.7kW) Honda GX270 four-stroke gasoline engine, the SP8/GH9HP planer is built with a unitized, welded steel plate frame, full length hexagon driveshaft and extra capacity ball bearings, to make this unit a workhorse, according to the company.
